A proudly run family farm since 1976

The Zittel Family Farm was established in Northern California in 1976. Along with their well known pumpkin patch and newly added Christmas tree lot they have been selling African hard-shell gourds since 1994. This type of gourd has been used throughout history in cultures around the world for a wide variety of art, crafts and musical instruments.  Dried Gourds are available year round at the farm. In 1994 the Zittelís established an annual gourd festival which has become a much loved event.  The farm is located in Folsom, California, approximately 18 miles east of Sacramento off Auburn-Folsom Road, Zittel Farms invites all gourd enthusiasts to stop in and browse amongst a large selection of every shape and size gourd.
